Hello my friends. It has been 6 weeks since this blog became active. In that time I have written 22 posts. Those posts have been read 1,200 times so far! Excuse my language, but that is FUCKING AWESOME!!!! Hahaha! I am truly in shock at how much attention this little blog of mine has received.
At a recent social gathering in Fresno I had several people come up to me and tell me how much they enjoy my blog. They said they are fans. FANS! That is just plain amazing to me. I never thought that I could actually have fans of anything I do. But here we are. People are reading my words and liking them.
So far the most popular post was the first in the Surprises in CTS series “Friendships in the Community”. A few other posts are not that far behind in being read. People have come to my blog from a dozen different websites (most of which I did not use to promote the blog!), and several different countries.
When I created this blog I was only trying to make a place for me to express some thoughts. It has become something much more than that. Somehow, a guy like me has become a voice for our community. I am honored and humbled by this experience.
So, now it’s time to look forward.
I have a couple of sex workers who have agreed to be interviewed for this blog, to share their stories. That is very exciting. I am going to be scheduling those interviews soon and I hope to share their stories with you all in June.
I have a story that I will be sharing from a gentleman in our community who is confessing to one of our great sins: the no-show. It is an interesting story that he wishes to tell you.
Questions for my series Answering Your Questions keep coming in, so I will have a new installment of that series ever week for the next month or so.
As this blog takes up more and more of my time and energy, and is creating some expenses, I am considering asking for sponsors. I will be looking at a couple of online resources that could allow people to sponsor my efforts online. I would use such financial support to make some upgrades to this blog (including my own domain name), and to cover travel expenses to go to interviews and events. I am not positive that I will do this–since I HATE asking people for money–but I wanted to put it out there for comments.
I really must, once again, extend my gratitude to all of you who read this blog. You ladies and gentlemen have made this a worthwhile endeavor. You are the reason I do this. Thank you so much. I love your comments and questions. As we go forward, your support will continue to grow this blog.
Please help me out by sharing links to the blog on your social media accounts or on websites that you use. If you read a post that you really like, share that link with people. Your support helps our community.
